Welcome to the Kinesthetic Learning Academy - complete online course. The purpose of this online course is to give you a complete feeling for what's possible when practicing tennis at home. It is a guide for parents, players and coaches in the post-COVID tennis world. Life as we know it is different. We will see an increase in private lessons as well as players improving their skills at home to complement weekly training. Parents can play a role in supporting their children to practice at home using the OnCourt OffCourt Kinesthetic Learning equipment shown in these videos.
We focus on footwork and hand-eye coordination for children as they progress through the developmental pathway. The activities have been designed to explore and experiment with home program solutions in a fun and engaging way (using the principles of gamification). Ultimately, we want the activity to do the teaching for you. There a total of X videos providing you with endless hours of activity ideas to not only keep your children engaged but also to improve their skills.

Children Under 8
In parts 1 & 2 there are 28 videos helping children practice at home with and without needing any tennis equipment. We focus on teaching children HOW TO RALLY which is FUNdamental if you want to learn how to play tennis. Tennis is a game that requires sending and receiving skills. There are lots of ideas on how you can be creative at home so that children fall in love with the life-long benefits of tennis, being active, fit and healthy.
Continental Grip Lisence
In parts 3 & 4 there are 5 videos that each have 8 levels within them providing you with creative home solutions to help children get a grip on tennis. The activities are designed so that children enjoy using the continental grip which is essential in developing a modern serve, great volleys and a solid backhand.
Technical Series
In parts 5 (Serve), 6 (Forehand), 7 (Backhand) & 8 (Volley) there are 35 videos that focus on kinesthetic learning using many of the unique OnCourt OffCourt equipment. The activities vary in difficulty from easy to hard and encourage children to 'feel' the benefits when you let the equipment to the teach for you!
Footwork Series
In part 9 there are 12 videos that make up the footwork series. All of the activities have been designed to help you become light and quick on your toes as well as engaging the brain to help you make fast decisions. Tennis is a THINK - MOVE & HIT sport and so often decision making is left out of movement activities.
At the end of the day, strike a balance between success and failure and always encourage players/children to give their best effort.
